Love Island’s Sam And Georgia Have Officially Become Boyfriend And Girlfriend

It took him a few days, but he did it.

Love Island’s Sam Bird and Georgia Steel have finally made it official.

The news comes as no surprise after the couple quit the show but even as they left the villa to be together, they had yet to confirm their relationship status.

So naturally, the pair were quizzed about their relationship status on last night’s Aftersun. Sam explained that he was waiting for the ‘right moment’ to make it special… and according to Sam, special is sitting on a bean bag at 8am, live on Good Morning Britain. Yep, you read that right.

Host Charlotte Hawkins asked Sam and Georgia “Is it official?”

Nervously Sam responded: “It’s not official, but I wanted to ask something.” Georgia knew what was coming and interrupted by saying, “You’re going to make me emotional.”

“We’ve been through a lot both inside the villa and outside the villa,” Sam pointed out. “And we’re going to be living together so I wanted to know if you’d be my girlfriend?”

Georgia, proving her loyalty, said yes and the newly official couple shared a cuddle and a kiss. Sam then took to Instagram to share the happy news with his followers:

I’ve got a girlfriend! #steelbird
