Matthew Perry Splits From Fiancée Molly Hurwitz And Calls Off Engagement

It looks like Matthew Perry and Molly Hurwitz will return to being just friends after the 51-year-old star called off the engagement to his soon-to-be 29-year-old bride.

After being first linked and speculated to be dating in 2018, the actor announced last year that she was the greatest woman on the planet as news broke that the pair were set to tie the knot.

Now, just weeks following the controversy surround Matthew Perry and his activity on dating app for the celebs Raya – where he was reportedly flirting with a 19-year-old who brought the alleged string of interactions to the attention of millions on TikTok, Matthew Perry has called it quits with Molly.

“Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best,” Matthew said in a statement to People.

Literary manager Molly was the first one to confirm the pair’s relationship and make it “Insta official” back in February 2020; a short 9 months before the pair got engaged.

“Second year being my valentine, but his first as an Instagram influencer. HVD to my favorite,’ the 29-year-old wrote next to a snap of Perry for Valentine’s Day.

As for the reason behind the pair’s split, well, it’s still unknown. Was Raya a factor? Could it be to do with the concern surrounding his Friends Reunion comeback? Were the pair just not working out? Who knows.

Last May the pair reported to go through a brief split which the Mail Online labelled as a “very amicable”parting, so maybe one year on, things are just not meant to be?
