Maura Higgins Celebrates Her Birthday By Confirming Romance With Chris Taylor

After a lot of speculation, speculation dating back to when Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor were on Love Island together in 2019, the pair have now confirmed that they’re an item.

While over in Dubai to celebrate Maura’s 30th, the pair both posted the same image on Instagram, separately announcing that they’re seeing each other.

“He’s mine,” Maura wrote online, while Chris announced that he, in fact, “fell in love” with his “best friend”.

The pair remained extremely close after finishing Love Island together, with Maura dating Curtis Pritchard, while Chris briefly went out with fellow islander, Harley Brash.

But in recent days, fans noticed the pair getting closer than ever, spending a lot of time at each other’s houses during lockdown and well, it’s now clear that they are more than just friends – cute.

Taking to Instagram, close friends and fellow Islanders too shared their excitement at the news, with Molly-Mae Hague writing: “Finally”, while Greg O’Shea added that this is “what 2020 needed”.

Other former islanders that commented included the pair’s close friends Jordan Hames, Lucie Donlan, Danny Williams, and Mac Griffiths.
