Nope, Jack Fincham Isn’t Engaged, Despite His Recent Instagram Announcement

He shut down engagement rumours fairly swiftly.

Jack Fincham, one of the biggest stars of Love Island 2018, has just gone public with his new girlfriend, Connie O’Hara. But things got awkward pretty quickly when Jack’s Instagram followers got the wrong end of the stick from the photo that Jack shared.

Jack posted the pic of himself and Connie, looking all cutesy and cuddly, but his followers were quick to point out the big sparkly ring on Connie’s fourth finger. Of course, leading people to presume that Jack had popped the question and, er, put a ring on it.

Fellow reality star Liam Gatsby seemed to kick off the rumours, commenting, “Oi oi wats appnin ere then,” with Jack replying, “took the plunge.” So, you can kind of see the confusion here, right?

Liam added, “Jeeeeeeez my bro! Congrats” with an engagement ring emoji, but Jack quickly shut it down, replying, “bro it’s the other camera no engagement here”. With a whole lot of laughing emojis – those pesky camera angles, eh?

But fans and followers still weren’t convinced, saying that even if the camera was flipped, the ring (which suspiciously does look an awful lot like an engagement ring) would still be on Connie’s left hand. One person commented, “Even with flip camera it’s still her left and left hand, therefore ring finger…” While another said, “I thought I was going mad but it really is her left side! It’s impossible to think it’s her right, right?”

So, there you have it, we’ll have to just take Jack’s word for it for now. Meanwhile, Jack’s ex Dani Dyer, who he won the 2018 season of Love Island with, just recently announced that she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence. It’s all go for our ex Islanders.
