Rumours Are Flying Around That Maura Higgins Is Dating Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice

Maura Higgins has fueled romance rumours that she is dating Strictly Professional Giovanni Pernice. With a source confirming the news to MailOnline. 

Earlier this week the pair were spotted at the same football match, with their seats appearing to be beside one another.

Attending the Italy v Austria Euros game, the two posted the outing on their respective social media accounts. With eagle-eyed fans spotting that their locations in the stadium were very similar.

The two have also been seen interacting on social media with one another, and spotted staying in the same hotel.

Now a source has ‘confirmed’ the relationship news, telling MailOnline that they are ‘in the early stages of a relationship’.

“It’s early days, but Maura is really enjoying getting to know Giovanni, and the feeling is mutual,” they said.

“They’re both career driven and ambitious, which are qualities they find really attractive in each other.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Maura has been linked with a professional dancer, as she famously dated fellow islander Curtis Pritchard for one year after leaving the Love Island villa.

The Longford native has recently split up with boyfriend and close friend Chris Taylor, with them citing the split as amicable.

“There is no wrongdoing on either side… We still love, care and respect each other deeply,” Maura wrote at the time.

Neither Giovanni or Maura have publicly commented on the dating rumours.
