The 2017 live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast captured all of our hearts, and lucky for us, it turns out the story isn’t over yet. Disney is making a prequel called Little Town, a musical series set to premiere on Disney+.

It will see plenty of our favourite stars from the 2017 film reprising their roles, including Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as his sidekick LeFou. There will also be some fresh faces, like Briana Middleton as a character we’ve yet to meet, Tilly. And even an Irish star is set to lead.

Fra Fee has landed the role of Prince Benoit Berlioz, Tilly’s childhood friend.

This is far from the Tyrone natives first venture into fairytales, as he recently starred in Prime’s Cinderella alongside Camila Cabello.

Fra was clearly delighted to be a part of the project as he took to Instagram to share the good news. Writing:

“’Some day my prince will come…’ THRILLED to be joining @thereallukeevans & @joshgad on this. The wee lad who watched the beast turn into the prince repeatedly on VHS is even more so. 🙏🙏🙏💚💚💚🤴🏻”

And it seems the rest of the cast is thrilled to have him as well. Josh took to Twitter to share his joy at having Fra join the project. Writing, “So excited to have the brilliant Fra Fee joining the epic team for our #BeautyAndTheBeast Prequel series. He was so damed good in Hawkeye and we are beyond the thrilled to have him.”

Josh really made sure Fra was welcome with his statement, but what else would we expect from the man who played Olaf in Frozen!

Fra’s career has gone from strength to strength following his first role in the Golden Globe-winning Les Misérables. Not bad for your film debut!

Since then, he has starred in Animals with Holliday Grainger and Alia Shawkat, and Boys From County Hell, with Derry Girls star Louisa Harland.

Most recently, Fre made his Marvel debut in Hawkeye, the series following Jeremy Renner’s character of the same name. Fra played Kazi and got to work alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names like Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh.

We know 2022 is going to be his best year yet.
