Chloe Koyce’s Hotel Experience Is A Chilling Reminder That Women Are Not Safe In Ireland

Irish influencer Chloe Koyce has shared a blood chilling story that happened to her during a night out in Dublin.

The Limerick woman explained how she was followed to her hotel room door by a “sinister” man over the weekend.

Over the course of a 15-minute video she explains how she and her friends bid each other good night after going for a few drinks. She chose to walk across the road just a handful of metres to her hotel while her friend Lauren waited to watch her go inside in her taxi.

“I feel like myself and Lauren, like, we have that down to a T, that we are very, very safe and like, what I’m about to tell you, we couldn’t have been more safe with this whole thing,” she said in the clip.

However, in the time that Lauren drove off in her taxi, a man “slid” into the hotel behind Chloe.

She went on to say that she tried to get up to her floor in the lift before the man saw her but unfortunately, he was able to join her in the lift. There was no security in the hotel reception or anyone manning the front desk.

She added that he had taken off his belt and was holding it in his hands as she waited to get off on her floor. She explained how she thought he was going to kill her the entire time until she was able to get into her hotel room.

Her mother had been staying with her for the night in Dublin. After she got inside they rang down to reception to explain that a man had followed her into the hotel.

The security, who had been watching on the cameras, admitted they presumed he was just Chloe’s boyfriend.

“It’s really sad that we can’t mention where we are staying, we have to watch each other walk in, we have to wait and watch each other walk in,” she admitted.

Chloe added that she had reported the issue to the Gardaí and that she shared her story publicly to raise awareness.
