Clean Girl Aesthetic: EYNTK About The Massive TikTok Trend
And no, it has literally nothing to do with actually being clean.

You’ve seen the clean girl aesthetic whether you knew it or not – it’s the main feature of those minimalistic Instagram feeds with neutral tones, where the coordinated photos show a corner of a bed with a glossy magazine on crisp white bedsheets, or a manicured hand holding a gleaming coffee cup above a spotlessly clean outfit.
While we may not be able to master the religious organisation that goes into the daily ‘clean girl’ vibe – we can pretend that we’ve got it all together. TikTokkers everywhere are sharing with us how to get the clean girl aesthetic through our makeup and accessories – and it’s all about looking fresh, natural and *squeaky clean*. Let’s dive in!
@fentybeauty @stxph.h showin us how to cop that viral #cleanlook with a full face of Fenty! 🧼💫 Have y’all tried out the #cleangirlmakeup trend yet? #cleanmakeup
Stephanie Hui took over the Fenty beauty Tik Tok page to share a clean girl tutorial, and it’s all about sleek hair, simple jewellery and minimal, dewy makeup.
We’ve broken it down even further with five simple steps so you can try it for yourself!
Step 1: Skin
Prepping your skin is vital so you have a clean base to work with, and since it’s all about looking dewy and fresh, we recommend using a brightening toner like the Pixi Glow Tonic and a gel moisturiser with hyaluronic acid like the Neutrogena Hydro-Boost.
Step 2: Base
When it comes to clean girl makeup, cream products will help to keep you looking as natural as possible (powders tend to dry out the skin and create a heavier look that can appear cakey). We love the Fenty Beauty Matchstix for a soft contour look, Glossier Cloud Paint cream blush for a gentle flush on your cheeks and the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand for a glowy highlight.

Step 3: Eyes and Brows
Fluffy brows and barely-there brown eyeshadow is key for the clean girl look – it’s the ‘no makeup’ makeup vibe that takes a little practice! A gel, like the NYX Professional Brow Mascara, will make your brows look fuller and help to keep everything in place, while a shadow like the MAC Soft Brown will add a subtle dimension to your eyes.
Step 4: Hair
Sleek, sophisticated hair with no fly-aways will make sure that you look as tidy and put together as possible – using a gel to tame baby hairs will help to maintain your ‘do, and why not use a cute claw clip to pull it all together? We recommend the genius Sleek N Easy Hair Finishing Stick (created by two Kildare gals!) and a fab tortoiseshell claw clip.
Step 5: Jewellery
The final finishing touch for the clean girl aesthetic – minimal jewellery that says you are effortlessly chic. We adore this simple Lynott Jewellery Herringbone Chain and these Laura Lombardi Mini Hoop Earrings.

So there you have it, ladies, the perfect way to achieve the clean girl aesthetic – and you didn’t even have to do any actual cleaning!
We leave you with a reminder that the clean girl aesthetic is just that – an aesthetic. As long as you’re feeling fresh and beautiful on the inside, you’ll be glowing on the outside!
Now pop on some gloss and be on your gorgeous way.
