Coincidence? The Timing Of These Selena Gomez Comments Is Very Interesting Indeed

JB, are you listening?

Two big things happened in celeb land on August 3rd, the first of which involves a heartfelt message posted on Justin Bieber’s Instagram page.

The star penned an emotional letter to fans explaining why he decided to cancel the remainder of his Purpose World Tour, hinting that he took the decision in order to care for his mental health.

“Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE,” he wrote. “I want my career to be sustainable but I also want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable. So that I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be.”

Now, just hours later, the new issue of InStyle magazine has dropped and in it Justin’s ex Selena has spoken about cancelling her Revival Tour last year following “depression, anxiety and panic attacks” telling the mag it’s the best decision she ever made.

“Last year I canceled my tour and went away for 90 days, and it was the best thing that I ever could’ve done,” Selena revealed. Then in language that echoes Justin’s Instagram post, she added: “I had no phone, nothing, and I was scared. But it was amazing, and I learned a lot.”

Hmm. Selena (who is happily coupled with rapper The Weeknd) and Justin have since moved on from their six-year on/off relationship, but fans can’t help think that Selena’s comments could be the singer extending an olive branch to her former flame, provided she spoke to the mag in the some 10 days since JB made the announcement on July 24th.

Whaddya reckon? Message of support or just pure coincidence?
