When it comes to reality tv shows, dating shows and celebrity challenges, here at STELLAR HQ we can never get enough!

So, as a real treat this Friday afternoon, rumour has it that MTV’s The Challenge is coming to the UK with some pretty entertaining contestants lined up.

According to the Mirror, a source has revealed that Nathan Henry, Joey Essex, James Lock and Andrea-Jane Bunker are all planning to take part in the show, which will see the reality stars jetting off to a South American location in October, which is currently unavailable to watch for UK viewers.

BUT NOT TO FEAR!! Fans of the celebs will soon see them in action as an insider has told the Mirror the show will air in the UK and Ireland later this year, expecting to be shown on Channel 5.

The Challenge is an MTV spin-off from two shows, The Real World and Road Rules and sees contestants battle it out in cutthroat challenges and brutal eliminations for a share of the $1 million (Β£800k) prize, with a number of UK reality stars having already taken part in the competition programme.

Former Love-Islanders Priscilla Anyabu, Georgia Harrison and Theo Campbell are such celebrities who previously competed, with Theo having even admitted in the past that he would love to return after making it to the final.

Sharing in a tweet last year he wrote, “When I first done the @ChallengeMTV I done it off the back of a years hard partying, drinking and no training, and still merked everyone and everything (minus that math question) even with 1 eye im better than ever.”

“Think that’s why they won’t have me back,” he added. Hmmm not sure, but maybe Theo…

With the show having their fair share of UK reality starts in the past and even more in the future by the sounds of it, it’s about time it aired this side of the pond!
