Dalton Gomez ‘Was Committed To Making It Work’ With Ariana Grande

Earlier this week, it was reported that Ariana Grande had split from husband, Dalton Gomez, and now fans are getting some insights into why the couple called it quits.

And no, unfortunately the news isn’t coming from a new breakup album by Ariana, but there are some new details, with People Magazine reporting that distance played a role in their split, as Dalton’s career keeps him based in LA while Ari had been living in the UK, filming the upcoming Wicked adaption.

A source told the publication that Dalton wanted to work on their relationship. Saying: “Dalton is very religious and was committed to making it work, but Ariana had moved on.”

The source added that when she moved to London to film Wicked, it put a strain on the marriage.

“She was happy in Los Angeles for a couple of years. She wanted to make a life there with Dalton,” the insider said.

“He is super focused on his career and needs to live in Los Angeles. It’s definitely been an issue for them. Dalton’s career is demanding and he can’t leave Los Angeles often. So when [Grande] started filming Wicked in England, they were in for a long-distance marriage.”

On the bright side, the source also shared how there is no bad blood between the couple, explaining: “Ari has nothing but kind words to say about Dalton. During their marriage, he was her No. 1 fan.”

Ari and Dalton married in 2021, after nine-months of dating.

With the couple hosting an intimate wedding ceremony in her Montecito home, with friends and family.

California native Dalton is a luxury real estate agent. The pair seemingly split earlier this year, with the news only being revealed this week.

Since their breakup, Ari and Dalton “have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship.”
