Did Sophia Bush Just Shade Ex Husband Chad Michael Murray?

It looks as though Sophia Bush may have just thrown a dig at her ex husband!

The actress was married to Chad Michael Murray, her One Tree Hill co-star, before divorcing after five months.

The pair met on set in the early 2000s, and dated for two years before marrying in 2005.

Last month, Erin Foster, who dated Chad before Sophia, claimed there had been some overlap between the two relationships.

Speaking on her and her sister Sara’s podcast, The World’s First Podcast, Erin spoke about her dating history.

Referencing blind items she had read about herself, she said, “I was also featured in this DeuxMoi thing with Chad Michael Murray. In it, it said, ‘And he apparently cheated on her with Sophia Bush.'”

Sara interjected, “By the way though, DeuxMoi’s not — they don’t lie. I mean, and that is what happened,” to which Erin confirmed, “I mean, yeah.

“He definitely did cheat on me with her in, like, a pretty egregious way while we were living together.”

Yikes.

Now, Chad has responded to the claim by Erin – and it looks like Sophia has thrown in her two cents as well.

Speaking to E! News, Chad said he didn’t want to “go down [that] road” by addressing what she said.

“Because there’s just never a winner,” he explained. “I feel blessed to be where I am right now.”

“I live in the now, I live in the present, I live in the future,” Chad continued.

“Things have changed so dramatically for me since I was a young man that I just try to live in this space—always. So, I don’t think you’ll ever find me saying anything negative or hurtful about anybody. I never will. That’s just not me. I’m not going to do it.”

Then, just one day after Chad’s comments, Sophia posted a not-so-cryptic message to her Instagram story.

The actress shared an image of a white cake which read in icing, “congrats on leaving that toxic relationship!”

Sophia wrote over the image that she was bringing some “necessary levity” to her day.

Yeah, we reckon that’s throwing some shade in Chad’s direction!

Awkward, to say the least.
