Doireann Garrihy Shares RTÉ 2FM Work Setup That She Never Anticipated This Morning

In light of everything that’s going on, we’re all just trying to truck along as usual in circumstances we never thought we’d be in.

For us here in STELLAR, that means working for home for the time being, communicating as usual over video chat and continuing to create the content we love to produce and you love to read – be that digitally and in our glossy mags.

For Doireann Garrihy, that means presenting and broadcasting her RTÉ 2FM show with Eoghan McDermott from their own homes.

“@eoghanmcdermott is live from his gaff and I’m live from mine. Never anticipated my spare room being used for this but look, we PLOUGH ON!” Doireann wrote on social media.

Presenting the show in a similar way the station would run an outdoor broadcast, Doireann and Eoghan, followed by the rest of the 2FM lineup, are presenting and broadcasting from home, following the guidelines on self isolating and social distancing.

In a similar setup across the pond, many radio stations are following suit, broadcasting from home when possible and this morning, Amanda Holden shared a photo of her similar setup, presenting for Heart from her home in her pjs.
