Doja Cat Tells Fans To Delete Their Accounts And ‘Get A Job’ Over Nickname

Doja Cat fans have been having a rough time with their favourite singer, who doesn’t seem to reciprocate the appreciation they have for her.

Earlier this year, Doja disappointed her fan base by denouncing her wildly popular albums as “cash grabs”.

The singer tweeted, “planet her and hot pink were cash-grabs and yall fell for it. now i can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while yall weep for mediocre pop”. Ouch.

Now, Doja has once again upset her remaining supporters after telling them to “get a job” and “delete their accounts” over a nickname.

In a now deleted tweet, the Say So singer expressed disgust at fans who call themselves “kittens”, despite that being the name Doja gave to her fans at the start of her career.

When fans responded in surprise, Doja doubled down. One fan asked what they should call themselves instead, and the singer replied “just delete the entire account and rethink everything”.

Meanwhile on Threads, a user asked the popstar to say that she loves her fans, to which Doja wrote back, “i don’t though cuz I don’t even know yall”.

The fan retaliated angrily, saying that Doja would be nothing without her fans, prompting Doja to snap back calling them “crazy”.

 

Doja has since deleted her Threads account, and the last tweet on her Twitter reads: “Can’t wait to go on tour! Love you guys! Feeling blessed. <3”.

A number of top fan accounts for the musician have also deleted their accounts, with some fans even sharing posts of them having their concert tickets refunded following the comments.

We reckon Doja may have a little backtracking to do to get fans on her side again!
