It comes as Ekin-Su’s boyfriend, Davide Sanclimenti turned down the show, as he said he’s simply too busy to take part.
“I have so much going on and I can’t commit to something every day and when I do something I want to do it properly.”
“Right now I just can’t focus on something like that, for the moment anyway, but in the future maybe I will.”
Upon hearing the news, fans had a mixed reaction to her taking part in the show.

Ekin Su doing Dancing on Ice honestly lowers the caliber of this whole season of Love Island for me. She’s better than this and needs new management.

Ekin-Su is one of the first contestants that has been announced for the show. She joins EastEnders star Patsy Palmer and former footballer John Fashanu.
We’re sure that Davide will be in the crowd each week cheering her on and it’ll all be very cute.
