Emma Willis Is Being Praised For ‘Grilling’ Roxanne Pallett In CBB Interview

She certainly didn't let her off easy...

Actress and former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Roxanne Pallett has apologised to Ryan Thomas publicly for the second time following her departure from the show on Friday night.

CBB presenter Emma Willis interviewed Roxanne prior to last night’s surprise eviction and it’s safe to say she didn’t take it easy on her.

Emma quizzed Roxanne about her allegations that fellow housemate Ryan Thomas punched her “like a boxer would punch a bag” on Thursday night’s episode. Broadcast regulator Ofcom received more than 11,000 complaints as footage appeared to contradict her claims.

Ryan was given a formal warning for the action after Roxanne complained and was not removed from the house, but she continued to claim Ryan was “lying” until she, herself, left during the early hours of Saturday morning.

During her interaction with Emma, Roxanne defended that the playful punch by Ryan “did hurt” however admitted “the more I thought about it, it was heightened, and I convinced myself he did that”.

Emma went on to press Roxanne further, asking if she believed her own story, and then replying “that’s quite worrying though, Roxanne” when the actress answered that she did.

Roxanne finished the interview by apologising again.

“I’m the most hated girl in Britain right now.

“It’s the title I feel everyone’s giving me at the moment and all I can do is own it, accept it, and apologise.

“Everyone that I’ve affected by such an enormous reaction that could’ve been devastating for him.

“All I can say is I’m devastated and I’m sorry.”

Emma Willis received massive praise following her hard-hitting interview, being branded as “presenting goals” by fellow TV personality Stacey Solomon.

The interview followed an initial apology by Roxanne on the Jeremy Vine show on Channel 5 yesterday morning. Presenter Jeremy Vine received criticism following the interview after viewers claimed he didn’t question the Emmerdale actress hard enough.

Her former Emmerdale co-stars slammed the actress after the show aired, while many claimed she was making a ‘mockery’ of real abuse victims.

As well as her soap co-stars, former panto co-stars Sam Attwater and Connor Byrne also revealed how Roxanne had, like with Ryan, accused them of hitting them.

EastEnders star Sam wrote: “I cannot wait for Big Brother tonight. I’m so glad that Roxanne’s true personality is coming out.

“She did this to me on Rocky Horror tour. Except she hit me and ran off stage saying I’d hit her! She’s not well and shouldn’t be in there. Anyone who has worked with her knows.”

Connor said: “Sad to say, from what I’ve heard, I had a very similar experience with this lady last year. Just had a colleague who witnessed my encounter where I was falsely accused of violence, contact me and share the event.

“She doesn’t care about anyone or any consequence, only herself.”

Roxanne has since quit social media.
