EYNTK About The Lily Collins Audrey Hepburn Film
She's officially been cast!
Lily Collins will officially be taking on the role of Audrey Hepburn in the long awaited biopic – and the casting is fairly perfect.
The Emily in Paris star shared the news this week, confirming that she will playing the iconic star in the upcoming film, which will recount the making of Breakfast At Tiffany’s.
“It’s with almost 10 years of development and a lifetime of admiration and adoration for Audrey that I’m finally able to share this. Honored and ecstatic don’t begin to express how I feel…” Lily wrote on Instagram.

So, what else do we know about the film?
Well, we know that Collins is also set to executively produce the film, which is yet to find its director.
The movie will be based on Sam Wasson’s book, Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman, and will portray the production and shooting of 1961 classic, Breakfast At Tiffany’s.
The project will be the “first complete account of the making of the film,” which was not without its controversy back in the day.

Starring the great Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast At Tiffany’s is a romantic comedy that follows eccentric socialite Holly Golightly, who meets a struggling writer when he moves into her apartment building.
The movie was critically acclaimed and was nominated for five Oscars, including Best Actress for Hepburn, and her performance has since become one of the most recognisable in film history.
Despite this, Hepburn was very nearly not cast at all. Truman Capote, who wrote the novella the film is based on, originally wanted Marilyn Monroe to play Holly.

When she declined the role was offered to multiple other actresses before Audrey reluctantly accepted, thinking Holly would be too extroverted for her.
Capote later said that the studio had “double crossed” him by casting Hepburn. His novella was also changed considerably in tone and plot, and the queer subtext was all but erased to make the film palatable for audiences.
We don’t know a whole lot else about the film just yet, but with Lily Collins at the helm, it’s going to look incredible regardless.
