I’ve smelled some nice fragrances in my time. But I may never have smelled a fragrance as incredible as this.

New scents from the High Perfumery House of Amouage have landed in Brown Thomas, and they are honestly next level.

The luxury brand have long been known for their masterfully crafted fragrances paying homage to both the East and West. They’re deep without being overpowering, and floral without being too sweet.

Amouage’s scents were originally created to be the ‘Gift of Kings’, and it shows.

Their new fragrance duo, Decision and Existence, are all about portraying the power of infinite – not a bad thing to have spritzed on your skin, tbf.

Editorial intern Nikita is loving… Delicious tea

@iliketravelandmovies This is the spot for you if you’re a tea lover!! 🍵 💕 📍 Tea Garden, Ormond Quay Lower, D1 #dublin #dublintiktok #dublincity #dublinireland #thingstodoindublin #teahouse ♬ ♡ ᶫᵒᵛᵉᵧₒᵤ ♡ – SoBerBoi

For the next week it’s looking like we’re going to have to substitute the sun and the sea for some indoor activities while we wait for the rain to pass.

If you’re in Dublin in the next few weeks, the Tea Garden on Ormond Quay is a great place to shelter away from the rain.

With six magical tea rooms to sit in, you’re welcomed with a menu offering over 40 different varieties of tea from all around the world. There are also board games available if you want to challenge your friend to a game of snakes and ladders!

I went for the chocolate orange tea with almond milk which left you with an incredible velvety texture while drinking and is great for relaxation and insomnia. The notes of orange peel, red pepper and cacao left a soft, but not too overpowering sweetness.

It’s safe to say I had the best night sleep after that pot of tea!

Jade is loving… A solid meal

Cooking is one of my favourite things to do. The chopping, the sautéing, the creation of something delicious that you then get to enjoy yourself.

But when you’re working, seeing pals, and just generally trying to live life, finding the time to try new recipes can sometimes be a bit hard.

I recently tried a recipe box from Gousto, a meal kit company that landed in Ireland this year, and it gave me the food inspo I needed.

Fresh ingredients for four different vegetarian meals were sent directly to my home – all I had to do was follow the instructions and I was eating a gnocchi bake, a tofu bowl, a tasty salad, and an aubergine plate.

The portion sizes were very generous, and the food was delicious. Can’t go wrong.

Nikita is loving… Reminiscing about memories of the beach

I always forget how much I miss the sun until I’m getting absolutely drenched in the rain walking down the street, hoping my paper bag doesn’t give in and break!

Taking shelter in a store, I came across the Replica fragrances by Maison Margiela. Picking up the first one called ‘Beach Walk’, I gave it a spritz and was instantly taken back to all the beach holidays I’d ever been on.

Slapping on the sunscreen, covered in sand, salty waves hitting you in the face. This fragrance perfectly summed up every time I had ever been to the beach!

If you’re missing the sunny weather this week and you want to revive that summer spirit, then definitely give this perfume a try!

Jade is loving… Elevated eyeliner

Every now and again I enter an eyeliner era. I find a product I like, I use it for a bit, and then I realise that I’m just really bad at doing eyeliner and should avoid it at all costs.

Liquid liners are too messy. Pencil liners are too dry. Gel liners are kind of okay but they’re quite clumpy and tend to end up all over my lids.

Then I tried et al’s Line + Define Eyeliner, and guys, I’m a convert. The brand’s new highly pigmented liner comes in a range of colours, and is smudge-proof, water resistant, and long lasting.

It’s got a smooth, gel-like texture and is enriched with ceramides to glide over the lids – and glide it does.

I’ve been using the cocoa brown shade, and it’s been a dream to apply. It even stayed on my eyes all day, through some seriously humid and rainy weather. Gorgeous scenes.

Jade is loving… Incredible incense

My partner is moving in soon, and we’re looking for some ways to add a little freshness to the apartment.

There’s going to be a lot of decluttering, spring cleaning, and generally just moving things around – which could only be made sustainable by some gorgeous, earthy incense burning in the background.

Irish brand FieldDay recently launched their new Folk collection, an ode to the folk who shaped this land… and it’s actually breathtaking.

The collection is inspired by six fragrances, Wander, Kin, Belong, Peat, Forage and Rain.

I sprayed the ‘Rain’ room spritz and I was instantly transported to the forest during a shower. I was drenched, grass was in the air, and I became one with nature… all from my Dublin 8 bedroom.

Rain also comes in incense cones, which I’ve been lighting every morning to help me start the day off right. Their burst of freshness is intense but not overpowering, and entirely welcome once the laptop is begging to be peeled open.

Obsessed, truly.
