Everything You Missed From Charli xcx’s Malahide Gig

We have our very own Apple Boy

Brat summer has finally arrived in Dublin following Charli xcx’s gig in Malahide last night. The 365 party girl put on a 60 minute show of her 6th album to around 20,000 fans.

Her album took the internet and social media by storm last summer and has now returned for another season.

If you were unable to make the event yesterday, then here’s a low down of everything you missed when Brat arrived in Malahide!

Dublin’s Apple Dance

@ciarakelleherx Dublinโ€™s Apple Girl is Dublinโ€™s Apple Boy ๐Ÿ’™ what a slay! #charlixcx #malahide #malahidecastle #applegirl #appleboy #applecharlixcx #charlixcxdublin @Charli XCX โ™ฌ original sound – ciarakelleher

The most exciting part of the show for some would have been finding out who was going to take part in Dublin’s Apple dance.

Previous Apple dancers have included Chappell Roan at Primavera, Amelia Dimoldenberg, who hosts Chicken Shop Date, at Lido Festival and the 1975’s George Daniel back in London in 2024.

After weeks of speculation of who would be chosen for Dublin’s apple dance (Jedward, influencer Jack Swift and CMAT were a few predictions) we were not disappointed. The honour was given to a fan painted fully in green – and he absolutely smashed it!

Party 4 U

5 years after the song was originally released, Party 4 U is finally getting the recognition it deserves.

As well as playing her most recent songs, such as, Von Dutch, 365 Party Girl and Guess (feat. Billie Eilish), Charli treated us to an out of this world performance of Party 4 U.

First released during Covid-19 in Charli’s 4th album, How I’m Feeling Now, Party 4 U has gone viral all over social media and TikTok. This resulted in her also dropping a music video for the song last month.

Charli’s heart warming social media post

Following the end of her show, Charli took to social media to show her appreciation to all her supporters. She gave a special shoutout to a group of fans who had made her a sign which she didn’t notice until after the show had ended.

On Instagram, she said “Thank you for tonight Dublin the show was so fun and this sign is adorable! I’m sorry I only saw it after the show!! Someone find this cutie and tell them I love themmmmm!!!!”
