A brutal murder? A secret connection? A game of cat and mouse carried out by two heavyweights of the acting game? We’re listening.

His & Hers is coming to Netflix this week, so if you’re in the market for a murder mystery that actually sounds decent, we’ve got you sorted.

Based on the bestselling novel by Alice Feeney, the series follows journalist Anna (Tessa Thompson) as she investigates the brutal murder of an anonymous woman in Atlanta while dealing with her own personal trauma.

Enter Jack (Jon Bernthal), a local detective battling his own demons who is suspicious of Anna’s involvement in the case.

The official synopsis reads: “Set in the sweltering heat of Atlanta, Anna lives in haunting reclusivity, fading away from her friends and career as a news anchor.

“But when she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega – the sleepy town where she grew up โ€“ Anna is snapped back to life, pouncing on the case and searching for answers.

“Detective Jack Harper is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story: His and Hers, which means someone is always lying.”

While little is known about the series’ six episodes just yet, we do know a bit about the book. Released in 2020, the novel was praised for its clever twists and turns, as well as its dual narratives keeping readers guessing.

The new show also stars Pablo Schreiber,ย Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani andย Rebecca Rittenhouse, and is developed by William Oldroyd. Jessica Chastain and Kristen Campo will executively produce, along with star Tessa Thompson.

All six episodes land on Netflix this week, so you won’t have to wait long to figure out whodunit. Thank god for that.

His & Hers lands on Netflix on Thursday, January 8, 2026.ย
