EYNTK About the JLo and Ben Affleck Divorce Rumours

Over the last 22 years, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s relationship has been on a tumultuous ride. From co-stars to lovers to exes to friends to lovers again, it’s safe to say they’ve been through a lot. However, it seems that the couple’s romance is set to come to an end once again.

After meeting in 2002 on the set of the romcom crime film Gigli, the pair began dating shortly after JLo split with her then-husband Cris Judd.

They got engaged in November and planned on tying the knot in September 2003. But just four days before the nuptials, the pair called off the wedding and would officially split in January 2004.

Ben and Jen would then go on to marry and have children with other partners. Ben married actress Jennifer Garner in 2005, and they had three children together before splitting in 2015. Meanwhile, JLo married singer Marc Anthony in 2004 and had twins with him before ending their marriage in 2014.

In April 2021, it was revealed that Ben and JLo were seeing each other again after JLo split from then-fiancé, former baseball player Alex Rodriguez.

Ben and Jen would get engaged for a second time in April 2022 and finally married in Las Vegas that July.

Now, two years on, reports are suggesting that the pair are headed towards a divorce.

Divorce Rumours Begin

Last month, Ben was not in attendance at the Met Gala on May 6, despite his wife being one of the co-chairs and his best friend Matt Damon being in attendance. A rep confirmed at the time he was busy filming The Accountant 2 in L.A.

A few days later, reports suggested the pair were living apart.

Bennifer Put on a United Front

On May 16, the couple were seen in L.A., supporting their kids at an event. Both were wearing their wedding rings.

This was their first public appearance together since late March.

Three days later, Ben and Jen are seen driving together, seemingly trying to squash rumours once again.

JLo Questioned By Reporter

While promoting her new movie Atlas in Mexico City on May 23, a reporter asked JLo at a press conference whether she and Ben were divorcing.

Her co-star Simu Liu quickly stepped in to say, “Ok, we’re not doing that. Thank you so much guys, we really appreciate it. Thank you.”

After letting out an awkward laugh, JLo addressed the reporter. “You know better than that,” she responded.

Bennifer Attends Violet Affleck’s Graduation

Paparazzi photos of Ben and Jen on May 30 showed the pair headed to his eldest daughter Violet’s secondary school graduation along with his mother in L.A.

JLo Cancels Her Upcoming Tour

On May 31, JLo’s entire This Is Me…Live tour was cancelled. The 34-date North American tour was set to kick off on June 26.

The reasoning given for the cancellation was wanting to spend time with “her children, family and close friends.”

While it had been reported that ticket sales were poor, rumours of marital struggles and her desire to spend time with her loved ones suggest that multiple factors went into the decision.

Bennifer’s Marital Home Up for Sale

Despite several public appearances in the last few weeks seemingly squashing rumours, Ben and Jen’s $60 million mansion in Beverly Hills is up for sale, exactly a year after they first purchased it. The 17-bed, 30-bath property was bought by the pair after a two-year search for the perfect home.

Many sources say a divorce announcement is imminent after this news.

A love story of the ages is seemingly coming to an end, and we’re devastated, to say the least.
