EYNTK: And Just Like That Has Been Renewed For A Second Season

We were all expecting this tbh.

The moment we’ve been waiting for since the SATC reboot, And Just Like That, ended has arrived. A second season has been confirmed.

As a SATC fan, I’ll be the first to admit that the show wasn’t… perfect. I, like many others, found myself giving out stink about how irritating and cringe it was. Yet, I couldn’t take my eyes off it. I watched every second, despite only really enjoying the first two/three episodes. And you can bet I’ll be the exact same with season two.

So what’s there to know?

Michael Patrick King, who developed the show, revealed, according to Pop Culture: “I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters – played by these powerful, amazing actors. The fact is, we’re all thrilled. And Just Like That… our Sex life is back.”

“We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much,” Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content for HBO Max, added. “We are proud of the work Michael Patrick King and our wonderful writers, producers, cast and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen. We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for season 2!”

It’s not exactly surprising that the show was renewed for a second season, as Deadline reported in December of 2021 that the premiere of And Just Like That was the highest-rated debut from any HBO Max series.

Although, in January of this year, a source close to the show revealed to Page Six that the creators want to redeem the negative reviews they received after the first season. “They may feel that they want to prove a point that they can make a second season stronger and that it was valid to bring it back for fans.”

We don’t yet have a release date, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
