The perfect flick for spooky szn.

There’s a few things on our checklist when it comes to getting excited for a new movie release. From the cast to the director, the genre, to the trailer, we’ve an easy bunch to please once we’ve got our boxes ticked and well, Last Night in Soho is delivering… so far.

The movie is receiving serious reaction on social media, with some dubbing it the “movie of the year”, while others are calling it a “2021 must-see” and it hasn’t even dropped yet, October 22nd – to be precise.

So, why all the hype?

Well, with three trailers to feast your eyes on, a stellar cast that includes the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith and James and Oliver Phelps, as well as Edgar Wright in the director’s seat, there’s plenty to get you excited about from the get-go. Plus, the movie is a modern day/1960s mystery horror with drama and thriller all worked in too. I mean, it screams October.

What’s the synopsis?

As the official movie description reads: “A young girl, passionate about fashion design, is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s where she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer. But 1960s London is not what it seems, and time seems to fall apart with shady consequences.”

What’s great about this flick is we’re being told there’s plenty of jumps worked in too, a storyline that’ll have you gripped and plenty of reason to grab the popcorn.
