Filthy Habit? Celebs Are In Trouble After Posting Photos Of Themselves Smoking At The Met Gala

Cancer experts are concerned that they're glamorising cigarettes.

Celebrities including Dakota Johnson, Bella Hadid, and Marc Jacobs were snapped smoking cigarettes in the bathroom of the Met Gala on Monday night, and they’re in trouble now for glamorising the dangerous habit.

The stars were captured on Snapchat and Insta Stories lounging on the tiled floor of the MET bathroom, smoking cigarettes and posing for photos.

Bill Blatt of the American Lung Association is concerned that young people who see these images will be encouraged to pick up a cigarette.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said that he’s disappointed in the pictures, adding that “It’s a little alarming. At one point smoking was fashionable – but we are worried that younger people will try and emulate the stars. Celebrities smoking is one of the most effective forms of marketing.”

Not only is smoking the leading cause of lung cancer, it also affects people’s skin quality, teeth, and appetite.

Fans aren’t impressed by these celebrity pics either. Lots of people have taken to Twitter to voice their disgust…

Do you think it’s acceptable for public figures to share photos like these online? Or are people simply overreacting?
