First Look at The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2

Summer is about to get even better, with the return of Prime Video’s popular summer romance series.

The Summer I Turned Pretty will be returning to our screens for a second season on July 14th.

Adapted from Jenny Han’s young adult romance books, the series follows teenager Belly (Lola Tung) through an eventful summer as she finds herself in a love triangle with two of her closest friends, who are also brothers. Last season left off with Belly making her choice between the boys, sealing her decision with a kiss at the beach and a debutante ball slow dance. What could be more romantic?

In season 2 we will apparently see a big shift in the characters, as Belly and her family cope with some big life changes. Belly will also have to navigate her relationships with both Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalengo) which are not what they used to be.

In an interview with ELLE magazine, Lola said that fans should expect “a more mature side of the characters because they’ve definitely been through a lot since we last saw them.”
