Gigi Hadid Jumped In A Pool Wearing a €5k Dolce & Gabbana Dress Yesterday Because Why Not

What do you do if you’re Gigi Hadid and you just so happen to be dressed in €5,000 worth of D&G sequins? Jump in a chlorinated pool, of course.

Okay, that might not be Gigi’s immediate decision every time she wears couture, but it’s certainly what happened at the Chateau Marmont yesterday.

Onlookers at the famous hotel’s outdoor pool spotted Gigi diving into the water fully dressed yesterday, and were quick to snap photos:

Before you go writing the 21-year-old off as a total diva though, it might be worth noting that her escapades were most likely for a shoot, as there was a photographer and a photo assistant present. Oh, and apparently the dive was their idea, not Gigi’s… but that’s still €5k worth of fresh-off-the-runway loot that’s just been drenched in pool water.

Thankfully for D&G (and our fashion conscience), the dress wasn’t a one-off, unlike most runway pieces. Instead, as Teen Vogue notes, it was one of around 40 that was worn as part of the label’s A/W’16 finale in Milan back in February.

That said, we doubt any of the 40 dresses were intended for underwater submersion.
