Gigi Hadid Talks Co-Parenting Her Daughter With Zayn
We can’t believe it’s been 3 years of Khai!
Gigi Hadid is opening up about everything she loves about co-parenting.
It’s never easy splitting up from the father of your child, but when the outcome is the best solution for you and them, it’s a no brainer.
Gigi, who shares her daughter Khai with her ex and former One Direction band member, Zayn Malik, recently shared how she splits time between co-parenting and work with her former beau.
Talking to Net-a-Porter, Gigi revealed: “I think when you are a parent, you have to be intentional because, now, I literally have half the time. I work when my daughter is with her dad, and that’s the time I have.”

The supermodel noted that since having her daughter three years ago, she has completely re-evaluated her work schedule and which jobs she takes.
She added: “And the jobs I choose to fill that time with have to be ones that are fulfilling to me. I will literally fit in as many jobs as I can on those days. I’m sometimes a crazy person, but if it means a lot to me, then I do it.”
The 28-year-old has even combined her family life and her working life by featuring Khai in her brand Guest in Residence’s upcoming childrenswear collection.

She explained: “Khai and her best friend are our fit models. They come into the office, Khai tries on one dress and then she’s like, ‘Do you want to go to the donut store?'”
Gigi previously opened up about co-parenting with Zayn back in March. She told The Sunday Times that she was very happy Khai gets to spend time with both of her parents. Adding some advice for parents in similar situations, she said: “Just keeping the importance of the child’s happiness at the forefront. You have a long life alongside this person.”
Zayn seems to be taking the 50/50 custody thing in his stride as well. Speaking on the Call Your Daddy podcast back in July, he said: “I’m super full on, hands on with my child every chance I can be. If I could get 60 percent, I would have it.”
