Halsey Has Announced She’s Expecting Her First Child

Is it just me, or are a whole lot of celebs announcing pregnancies within the past year? Another celeb to add to the ever-growing list is Halsey, who just announced the news that she’s expecting.

She dropped the news by sharing pics from a cute maternity shoot, captioning them simply: “surprise! 🍼🌈👼🏻”

And who’s the lucky dad to be? Well, Halsey saved us all a bit of digging and tagged him in the pic, Alev Aydin. Fans didn’t know the pair were dating, and we’re guessing that could be because Alev isn’t exactly in the public eye (not as much as Hasley) – or else they were just enjoying their privacy, who knows?

So, who is Alev Aydin? He’s a writer and producer and usually focuses on smaller productions. The pair have been dating for a few months, and even got matching tattoos on their feet, which read ‘seeds’. Hmm, okay. And just in case you were wondering what he looks like, here you are.

People were pretty shook at Hasley’s announcement, but Hasley has previously been open about her struggles to conceive a child, and the fact that she does see motherhood in her future.

Speaking to The Guardian early last year, she said her experience with miscarriages was “the most inadequate I’ve ever felt. Here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can’t do the one thing I’m biologically put on this earth to do. Then I have to go onstage and be this sex symbol of femininity and empowerment? It is demoralizing.”

She later said that “[motherhood is] something that’s gonna happen for me. That’s a miracle.”
