“He Just Wasn’t Quite There Yet”: So This Is Why Kanye Missed The Met Gala Last Night

It’s been a turbulent year for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and while Kimmy did make an appearance on last night’s Met Gala red carpet, it was noticeably without her husband.

The rapper was admitted to hospital for psychiatric evaluation in November and a source has told People that he simply wasn’t ready to attend such a high-profile occasion.

“He’s not going because he’s not ready to start attending big events. He’s doing great but wants to keep his stress levels low and just wants to take more time off. Kim and Kanye are in a great place,” the source confirmed.

Another source added: “It had nothing to do with the Met Gala. It was more about the stress and pressure of a big red carpet. He just wasn’t quite there yet. Kanye has been doing okay. He’s made a lot of good progress and is in a much better place.”

Missing the Met Gala aside, it’s great to see that Kanye is well on his way to feeling his best again.
