Here We Go Again! Tati Westbrook Is Calling Out Shane Dawson And Jeffree Star

Earlier this week we covered all the reasons why YouTuber Shane Dawson was getting called out on social media. From his unacceptable past behaviours, to his now-deleted four page note explaining all the reasons why he was leaving the beauty world; which included naming many stars (including Tati Westbrook) as being “attention seeking, game playing, egocentric, narcissistic, vengeful, two-faced, ticking time bombs ready to explode,” Shane announced he was done.

Now, less than a week after Shane’s note, online backlash and apology video titled Taking Accountability, Tati Westbrook has added more fuel to the fire, releasing a video to tell the “truth” and reasons why she’s kept so silent online.

In a follow-up video to her 2019 video Bye Sister, which claimed she was no longer friends with James Charles after he allegedly disrespected her and “tricked” straight men into thinking they were gay, Tati has released a follow up video.

For anyone who was unaware of this scandal in the interim between these videos, Tati called out James in May 2019, leading to his response titled “No More Lies”. The response gave “receipts” for all Tati’s claims and explained that the situation was allegedly blown out of proportion. Jeffree Star and Shane Dawson also joined Tati’s side, backing up her claims against James, and included some of the drama in the pair’s docuseries titled “The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star”.

The “dramageddon” as the scandal was renamed, led to an online hate campaign against James and the rise in Tati’s online platforms.

Earlier this week, before Tati released her video, Shane apologised to James for the cancel culture that he faced after the initial dramageddon drama.

In his Taking Accountability video, he said:

“I’m sorry, James. First of all, nobody deserves what happened. The whole internet ganging up on somebody, nobody deserved that. Who am I to say that somebody needs to be humbled? Me? Who am I to say that? I have literally put so much hate onto the internet over my last 15 years.”

Now, in Tati’s latest video titled Breaking My Silence, the beauty YouTuber is saying that Shane Dawson and Jeffrey Star “used, coerced, and manipulated” her into uploading the initial Bye Sister video.

Explaining that she felt “gaslit” by the pair, Tati continued  to explain how she was frustrated with James however, her feelings became more concrete when she met Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star, who told her that James was “out of control”. Telling her all about James’ past and how he was a “monster with many victims”, Tati said she felt shocked by the claims due to her own sexual assault past; one that Shane Dawson apparently told her he would bring to light with a YouTube documentary highlighting her own struggles and rise to fame.

However, in the time that followed the release of her Bye Sister video, Tati said she knew something was wrong as her relationship with the pair “dissolved entirely”.

Explaining that she believed Shane and Jeffree had reasons behind the apparent push for her to release the video, Tati said: “It’s also my opinion that Jeffree and Shane needed James marginalised and out of the way for their November launch of the Conspiracy Palette, along with Shane’s merch.”

As the video continues, Tati said the whole situation is opening up like “Pandora’s box” and noted that she doesn’t believe it’s the end.

In a quick retaliation to the video, Shane Dawson went live on Instagram, reacting to the tell-all by claiming she was lying.

“You’re so manipulative. You are fake crying,” explained Shane. Continuing, the YouTuber began to get frustrated, tweeting (which is now deleted) “THIS IS A F*CKING LIE AND I’M LOOSING MY MIND”.

Shane’s fiancé Ryland also called out Tati, tweeting:

Jeffree Star and James Charles have yet to respond to the video and recent controversy. However, like all drama in the beauty world, it’s only a matter of time.
