Here’s How To Make The Fluffy Japanese Pancakes That Are All Over Instagram

Wobble, wobble.

If you’re like us, then you’ve probably spent the past few days drooling over pancake porn; pure and utter stacked goodness, coated and drenched in sauce, fruit and chocolate.

Can I get a “mmmhmm!

From food TikTok to #Instafood, it’s safe to say that viral food trends not only fill our feeds, but spike our interest and creativity in the kitchen. Hands up if you’ve made that feta cheese block and tomato recipe? A Dalgona coffee? I rest my case.

The internet is a haven for foodie hacks and deliciousness and the latest trend we’re hopping on is perfect for the week that’s in it.

I’m sure you’ve seen them too, but these soufflé-like Japanese pancakes are everywhere at the moment, so airy and beautiful looking, like little clouds.

And, the exciting part is that they’re not *that* hard to make. As a breakfast staple in Japan, with some of their major cities dishing them out left, right and centre, Instagram is full of recipes on how to recreate your own at home when Japan travel looks off the cards for another year at least.

Owner of the Insta-famous Japanese ice cream shop Taiyaki, in NYC’s Chinatown showcased how to make the pancakes in a video and let’s just say we’re drooling.

Check it out below!

Alternatively, if you’re looking for an even easier recipe and method to follow, we recommend this one from BBC Good Food here!

Lastly, if it’s more pancake porn and inspiration you’re looking for, we’ve got some gorge recipes located right here!

Enjoy, and don’t forget to snap some pics of your creations and fire them my way Denise@stellar.ie
