Here’s The Mad Story Of How Rod Stewart Saved The Day At A Wedding In Vegas This Week
Reason number 8653 to love Rod Stewart
The collapse of Thomas Cook has screwed a lot of people over, one couple particularly affected by its closure is Sharon Cook and Andrew Aitchison from Liverpool.
The two were planning on flying to Las Vegas this week to get married, but, when Thomas Cook went into liquidation they had to consider canceling the entire thing.
But, in the best possible turn of events, Delta Airlines and Ceasars Palace saw their story and stepped in to help the couple have their dream wedding – oh and Rod Steward gave them a dig out too, but we’ll get to that.
The groom said:
“On Monday, we lost everything for our dream wedding in Vegas. Then, Wednesday morning Delta called to say they would help us. They brought our dream back. It’s just been incredible.”
Turning Sharon and Andrew’s nightmare into a dream, Ceasars Palace not only arranged for the two and their 14 guests to fly to Vegas first class for the occasion, they also asked THE Rod Stewart to perform at their ceremony.
Serenading the couple with a rendition of his Have I Told You Lately, pictures have emerged of the moment ol’ Rod popped in and they are both equally gas and heartwarming.

So proud of my husband as he helps make this couples special day even more special. Just when they thought their dream day was ruined when their Thomas Cook flights to Vegas where canceled, Caesar’s Palace Hotel (where Rod has a residency) paid for alternative flights on Delta for them and their party and Rod surprised them by serenading ‘Have I told you lately’. 💕
To top off the wonderful day, the newlyweds also received two tickets to attend Sir Rod’s Vegas show the following night.
Rod, you just get sounder by the day.
