Here’s The Wild Way Angus Cloud Became Euphoria’s Fezco

We recently learned that Angus Cloud’s real name is Connor Hickey (still not over it) – but what else do we know of the Euphoria star? Turns out… not all that much. The actor is notoriously private, even choosing not to reveal the month he was born or where exactly in Ireland his mother hails from. But what we do know is how the California born actor came to play Fezco, and it’s right out of a Hollywood movie.

In 2018, Cloud was walking down a New York street when he was stopped by casting director Jennifer Venditti, who asked for his details. Unsurprisingly, Cloud thought that Venditti was scamming him, saying ‘I was confused and I didn’t want to give her my phone number. I thought it was a scam.’ Luckily for them, (and us!) Cloud followed through, showing up to the audition to read as Fez. He blew away the casting team, and before he knew it, was flown out to Los Angeles to shoot the pilot episode of Euphoria. Mad!

Funnily enough, although the half Irish actor had never acted in anything before, he wasn’t a million miles away from the world of television, having attended the Oakland School for the Arts in the School of Production Design, where co-star and leading lady Zendaya went too. Cloud majored in technical theatre, so he probably never intended to be centre stage, but just look at him now!
