Here’s What Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week
Sun? Finally? Yes please
It’s the weekend, and the sun is out, and everything is going to be okay.
We’re also enjoying and looking forward to a selection of things this week.
This is them.
… Tony’s Chocolonely pop-up
Chocolate – who among us doesn’t love it?
The taste, the creaminess, the intention to eliminate inequality in the industry. Well, not every chocolate brand does that. But Tony’s Chocolonely do – and they’re launching their first ever pop-up in Dublin next week.
The brand is taking over Fade Street Studios on Thursday May 28th from 12–7pm for a one-day-only, free chocolate experience. Yes, free.
We’re talking two floors of a fully immersive world that will feature generous chocolate tastings, interactive moments, goodie bags, and storytelling spaces.
What’s more is that the first 100 people in will receive a token to enjoy a complimentary ‘Espresso Martony’ cocktail at O’Regans and The Bar with No Name on Fade Street.
Honestly, yum. See you there, yeah?
… Obsession
There often comes a film that sticks with you long after you leave the cinema. And I was as surprised as anybody when such a film ended up being a horror.
Curry Barker’s Obsession landed in theatres last Friday, and has already amassed a seriously impressive Rotten Tomatoes score, a high Letterboxd rating, and hundreds of TikToks dissecting its scenes and general horrifying plot.
The film follows Bear, a man who harbours feelings for his childhood friend Nikki. Desperate for his feelings to be requited, Bear breaks a One Wish Willow, and wishes for Nikki to love him more than anyone else in the world.
So begins a nightmare of obsession, bloodshed, and the total loss of Nikki’s autonomy, as she is forced to have feelings for a man she only sees a friend.
Although funny, yes, the film touches on the trope of the ‘nice guy’, the ‘crazy girlfriend’ and what actually makes women act out (the behaviour of men, usually).
It’s great. Go see it.
… Solas
Solas. Otherwise known as light. Otherwise known as the sun finally shining. Who would’ve thought?
Irish brand Solas Skin launched this week, and they’re on a mission to incorporate SPF into everyday skincare. Because as they say, there are no days off.
Amelia Slattery spent two years researching and developing before launching three core products: Solas Sun SPF 50 Hydrating Face Cream, Solas Kiss SPF 50 Hydrating Lip Balm, and Solas Spritz SPF 50 Hydrating Face Mist.
Amelia wanted to create a brand for Irish skin – one that provides a high level of protection, but also slips into our daily routines with ease, with no sticky residue or irritation.
“Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in this country so I felt it was about time a brand was designed specifically to meet the unique needs of Irish customers, while raising awareness of the importance of daily SPF use all year long – whatever the weather,” she says.

… Tasty yoghurt
I have recently become a yoghurt girl. I love one after dinner, before lunch, first thing in the morning, whenever really.
I love them solo, in a bowl, mixed in with some granola or pistachios or Dubai chocolate spread because it was never just a trend for me.
West Cork dairy producer Glenilen Farm have just launched two new products that may just change the yoghurt game – giant squeezable yoghurt pouches with up to 1kg of product.
Available in 500g and 1kg sizes, these new pouches are an alternative to traditional yoghurt tubs, with a resealable format to keep the product fresher for longer once opened.
These natural yoghurt pouches join the brand’s range of smaller flavoured pouches – perfect for bringing on-the-go. Unreal.
