Here’s What You Need To Know About Oprah Winfrey Running For President In 2020
Is it happening? Is it not?
Fed up with Donald Trump already? Well, you’re not alone and the internet reckons they’ve already found his replacement.
Er, Oprah Winfrey.
The chat show host had previously insisted that she would never run for president, but has reconsidered things since Trump’s election.
“I never considered the question even a possibility,” she told David Rubenstein during a segment on his show. “I just thought, ‘Oh… oh?'”
Referring to Trump’s inexperience, Rubenstein said: “It’s clear you don’t need government experience to be elected president of the United States”.
“That’s what I thought,” Oprah continued. “I thought, ‘Oh, gee, I don’t have the experience, I don’t know enough.’ And now I’m thinking, ‘Oh.'”
Hmm. There’s definitely a bit of interest there, so what’s the story? Will she really be running for president in the next election?
Twitter certainly wants it to happen:
Oprah considering to run for president is the best thing I’ve heard since Trump got elected #Oprah2020

Sadly, her close pal and co-host Gayle King says you shouldn’t count on it.
“I was in the audience that day and it was clearly a joke when she was playing with David because they have such great rapport,” she told CBS This Morning.
Oh, well that sucks. We kinda liked the idea of Oprah being the leader of the free world.
We say watch this space!
