Here’s Where ‘Conversations With Friends’ Has Begun Filming

We can't wait to watch this

Conversation With Friends

Filming has officially started for the tv adaptation of Sally Rooney’s hit book, Conversations with Friends.

Following the incredible success of Normal People last year, it’s no surprise another one of Sally’s books is being turned into a tv show.

Conversations with Friends follows Frances (Alison Oliver), a 21-year-old college student, as she navigates a series of relationships that force her to confront her own vulnerabilities for the first time.

The show will also feature Sasha Lane from American Honey and The Miseducation of Cameron Post who will star as Bobbi, Joe Alwyn from The Favourite and Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk as Nick and Jemima Kirke from Sex Education and Girls who will play Melissa.

Filming has just started in Belfast, and will also take place in Dublin later this year. A number of international locations will also be used, but they’ve yet to be confirmed.

Oscar-nominated director Lenny Abrahamson, who was behind Normal People, will be working on the show sharing the directorial duties with Leanne Welham.

“I feel so excited to be collaborating with four such superb actors to bring Sally’s brilliant novel to the screen,” said Lenny.
