Here’s Why Filming Has Stopped Completely On Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Does this mean there'll be no new series?
If you’re a regular viewer of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, you’ll know that the current episodes are edging ever closer to October 3, 2016, the date of Kim’s attack at gunpoint in Paris.
It was widely reported that the KUWTK cameras had stopped rolling shortly after the attack took place, at the request of Kim and the rest of her family, but today it’s been revealed that no filming has taken place since, even two months on.
According to TMZ, there’s enough footage stocked up to keep to the current commitment of episodes for this series, but E! had planned to film during Thanksgiving and Christmas, which won’t be happening, not only because of Kim’s attack but also because of her husband Kanye West’s admission to hospital after a breakdown a week ago
“Kanye’s hospitalisation has temporarily shut down production, but Kim has been in such bad shape since the robbery that there was no real hope of shooting anything through December,” the site reported today via a source.
According to the insider, Kim has been rethinking everything, but at the moment is too focused on Kanye to make any long-term decisions. The mum of two has apparently been with Kanye at the UCLA Medical Centre every day since he was admitted following repeated bouts of extreme paranoia and erratic behaviour. He was originally due to be discharged today, but reportedly is still not “stable” enough.
While Kim’s been on social media lockdown since her Paris attack, there have been some glimpses into her life, including some family Halloween photos of herself, Kanye, 11-month old Saint and three-year old North, shared on her website last week.
Here’s hoping things start looking up for the family soon.
