Here’s Why People Think Maura Higgins Might Be The New Love Island USA Host
Plz.
Maura Higgins has waved goodbye to the tropical land of Fiji, following her stint as social media host on Love Island USA.
The Love Island alum returned home to her base in Essex after making her US TV debut on Love Island early last month. Maura is the first islander ever to cross over into the US version of the show. Scott Van Der Sluiss has since made his iconic entrance into the US villa just weeks after leaving the Love Island UK villa.
The Longford lady made her Love Island debut back in the fifth series of the show, where her personality and quick wit gained her a huge following making her a fan favourite inside and outside the villa. She appeared alongside Molly Mae Hague, Tommy Fury and fellow Irish lad Greg O’Shea.
Maura took to Instagram back in July to announce her return to the villa but in an unexpected way. Many thought the 32-year-old was announcing her part in the Love Island Games. Alas she was chosen as social host for Love Island US, a role perfectly suited to the commentary queen.
Maura smashed the gig, receiving great feedback from the show’s audience, who were only delighted to see the Irish gal on screen. Could she be taking on an even bigger role with the series next year given this success? We can only hope.
Following her return to London after the conclusion of this season of Love Island USA, Maura shared that she was getting her hair done at Frank Hair Colour, a London based stylist.
Her return to London comes after much speculation she will be taking over the lead hosting role of the popular US dating show next year. Modern family actress Sarah Hyland currently hosts the series.
