How To Watch The Oscars In Ireland This Week

The Oscars are on this weekend — exciting.
Hamnet, One Battle After Another, Marty Supreme, Sinners, and Sentimental Value are leading this year’s nominations, with our very own Jessie Buckley tipped to take the Academy Award for Best Actress.
And rightly so. Hamnet is nominated for eight awards in this week’s ceremony, while Sinners has broken every record possible with a staggering 15 nominations.
It’s an exciting week to be a film fan — and even more exciting now that we can watch the Oscars, live, here in Ireland.

When are The Oscars 2026?
This year’s Academy Awards take place on Sunday, March 15. The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles’ The Dolby Theatre, as it has done since 2001.
The red carpet will kick off around 10pm Irish time, and the ceremony is expected to begin at midnight.

Viewers can tune into RTÉ One and RTÉ Player from 11pm on Sunday night to check out the red carpet, and later the ceremony itself.
RTÉ2 will also be airing The Oscars Highlights on Monday, 16th March at 9.30pm.
Who is nominated?
As above, Kerry’s Jessie Buckley is nominated for Best Actress and is tipped to win the award this year.
Hamnet is nominated for Best Picture, along with One Battle After Another, Sinners, F1, Bugonia, Sentimental Value, Marty Supreme, The Secret Agent, Frankenstein, and Train Dreams.
Michael B Jordan is tipped to take home the Oscar for Best Actor, while Paul Thomas Anderson is most likely to win Best Director.
