I Lived Like A Real Housewife For A Day, And Absolutely Loved It

I have to be honest, wouldn’t say I’m a huge pusher of ‘treat yo’self’. Aside from a random nail appointment here and there but all in all I don’t really treat myself. Blame it on a strict catholic upbringing or constant money anxiety I have, but I don’t really allow myself too much time to rest and relax. But boy oh boy did I get a taste for the high life when I got to live like a real housewife for a day, all thanks to the lovely people at Hayu!

It started with a trip to Johnstown Estate Hotel, where on arrival we were offered a dressing gown and slippers to mill around the hotel in. As a huge dressing gown supporter, it truly felt like it was meant to be. I decided I was going to be the Poundland version of Kyle Richards for the day.

After a fab lunch of wholesome soup and a delicious Asian noodle salad, it was time for the spa! We hit the jacuzzi, steam room, salt room and reflexogy path to really elevate our already relaxed state and for the cherry on top, headed in for a facial, massage and scalp massage. If I wasn’t floating already, I was now!

All the taking it easy nearly had me ready for a sleep but what is a Housewives night away without a glam dinner? All dolled up and feeling my full Erika Jayne pat the puss fantasy (maybe something to do with the 2 or 3 Proseccos in my room) we headed down for a dinner at the gorgeous Fire & Salt restaurant with salmon, crab, chicken and steak washed down with pornstar martinis. No cause for smashing glasses like the Amsterdam fight found here!

After wining and dining, we then headed, bellies full and hearts content to bed where I drifted off into one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a long time. No sign of cans of Red Bull or fans at full blast a la Kathy Hilton when you’ve had the best day kicking back and living the housewives lifestyle. I’ve since realised how much I enjoy relaxing and will definitely be incorporating more into my life asap!
