I’m A Celebrity Has Received Over 30 Complaints About Ian Wright’s ‘Bullying’ Of Andrew Maxwell

Viewers are uncomfortable with how Ian is treating the Irish comedian.

I’m A Celebrity has reportedly received numerous Ofcom complaints over footballer Ian Wright’s behaviour towards Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell.

Viewers have been vocal in their discomfort about Ian’s treatment of Andrew, with tensions rising between them in almost every episode.

On Wednesday night, things got heated when Andrew served himself another portion at dinner – Ian ranted to James Haskell about Andrew breaking camp rules moments after instructing other campmates to stick to their own roles.

“I’ve had enough, it’s the hypocrisy of it… that just winds me up,” he said.

The night before, Ian lashed out at Andrew for taking a nap after he did a Bushtucker trial, leaving Caitlyn Jenner to wash the dishes by herself.

According to the Mail Online, Ofcom received 32 complaints about ‘perceived bullying towards Andrew’ after Wednesday’s episode.

This feeling is echoed on Twitter, where viewers are wondering if Ian is purposely singling out Andrew:

Ian’s wife Nancy has defended the former footballer, telling The Sun: “I think everyone gets a bit tetchy after a while. He has his moments but he’s doing well. I don’t think it’s anything particular between them. They’re both quite strong characters.”

That may be so, but it’s certainly not earning Ian any brownie points with I’m A Celeb fans.
