The future of many of our favourite TV shows is in limbo at the moment. Shows like Graham Norton’s and Gogglebox have the type of format which still works well when not filmed in studio. Social distancing and Skype make so much of this possible.

However, for shows like I’m A Celebrity, it’s just not feasible to come up with innovative ways of filming. Not only do these types of reality shows require people to be in close quarters with one another, but it also involves travelling between countries which at the moment is not possible.

They channel is determined for the show to go ahead with a source revealing that; “Every year it’s a ratings smash and this year will more than likely be even bigger as the public will be desperate for some fresh and uplifting TV.”

Now all we need to know is when Love Island is back, we’ve never need our fix of the villa more.
