Ally Rice and Sean Fernando, a couple based in New York City, pulled off one of the most talked about weddings of the year at Adare Manor over the weekend – and TikTok saw it all.

The goal of the couple (who seemingly both work in tech) was to create a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience, and they enlisted top-tier wedding planner Marcy Blum, known for celebrity events, to make it happen.

The entire event took about a year and a half to plan, with a huge team of vendors and creatives from both Ireland and abroad contributing.

The Venue: Adare Manor

The celebration took place at Adare Manor in County Limerick, a five-star resort known for its castle-like architecture and luxurious grounds (truly gorgeous).

It was once home to Irish nobility and is now a world-class hotel complete with an award-winning golf course and fine dining experiences. The setting added serious fairytale vibes to the whole affair.

Multi-Day Wedding Festivities

This wasn’t your average one-day wedding. The event spanned multiple days with themed experiences designed to wow guests from the moment they arrived.

  • Arrival Day: Instead of standard welcome bags, guests were greeted with a gifting lounge full of curated Irish treats and beautiful souvenirs.
  • Night 1: The festivities started with a bang, as guests followed a traditional horses-and-hounds procession into Adare village for a pub crawl and traditional Irish céilí.
  • Day 2: Guests had their pick of activities, from a custom golf tournament called “The Fernando Cup” to scenic excursions to the Cliffs of Moher, and even on-site activities like falconry and fly fishing.

Immersive Themes & Decor

The wedding design was inspired by immersive theatre experiences like Sleep No More, with Adare Manor transformed into a whimsical world based on its own imagined history.

There were faerie gardens, medieval-style markets, and staff dressed in period costumes. Every detail was planned to make guests feel like they were stepping into a storybook.

The reception tent was equally stunning, decked out in lush florals and dramatic lighting, with a huge glass dome to let the surrounding beauty of the grounds shine through.

Special Moments

  • The Ceremony: Despite a rainy start to the day, the weather cleared just in time for the ceremony, which added an unexpectedly cinematic moment to the event.
  • The First Dance: The couple’s first dance included a subtle nod to their love for Disney, with a hidden Mickey Mouse detail that delighted their guests.

Social Media Buzz

The wedding quickly went viral on TikTok, with planner Marcy Blum sharing behind-the-scenes peeks at everything from the gifting lounge to the floral installations.

The hashtag #allyandseanwedding has been gaining traction, with viewers praising the production value and fairytale atmosphere. Many are comparing it to a movie set or immersive theatre show more than a traditional wedding.

Thoughts on The Wedding

Ally and Sean’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration, it was a full-on experience. From the Irish pub crawl to the fairytale-worthy décor, it felt more like a movie than a marriage.

Over-the-top? Maybe. But unforgettable? Absolutely.
