Insta Creep: A Complete Timeline Of Noah Cyrus And Lil Xan Breaking Up Over Instagram Stories…

Just two weeks ago, Noah Cyrus (wannabe popstar and sister of Miley) walked the red carpet at the VMAs with her new boyfriend, rapper Lil Xan. The internet instantly recognised that theirs would be a love story for the ages. Just look at them!

However, like all great romances – Romeo and Juliet, Cathy and Heathcliff, Anna Karenina and Vronsky – the path of love is not running smooth. The two are in the throes of an extremely public breakup playing out over Instagram Stories. How very modern!

It all started at the weekend when Lil Xan (Xan as in Xanax, real name Diego Leanos) posted and deleted the message: “I think I’m probably being cheated on.” In response, a crying Noah told her fans that he had taken a meme she sent him of singer Charlie Puth (featuring his head photoshopped on to a porn star’s body) the wrong way.

Taking to Instagram Live, Lil Xan accused Noah’s record label of engineering the relationship to boost her popularity, and denied breaking up with her because of the Charlie Puth meme. Are you still following?

He then shared a photo Noah had put up of her hugging another rapper: “This is the picture, call me whatever but if you my girl you ain’t touching no dude like that sorry aha.”

The next day, Noah took to Instagram Live to apologise to her fans for the mess, reiterated that she hadn’t cheated on Xan, and accused HIM of cheating on her, supplying a photo of him with a mysterious hickey as evidence.

Confirming that the relationship was well and truly over, Noah said:

I’ve been there for you during your dark times Diego. When you felt like you were alone and no one was there for you, I was. If this was your way of breaking up with me and breaking my heart along with it, then you’ve succeeded.

DRAMA! But it’s all OK because minutes later she announced the release of her new EP, aptly titled Good Cry. Ah guys. Young love is tough. Tenner bets they’ll be back together tomorrow.

Selena Gomez isn’t very happy that a recent interview focused on her friend Demi Lovato’s overdose. 

The singer is on the cover of Elle this month, with the headline saying she’s “breaking her silence” – presumably on Demi and the engagement of her former boyfriend Justin Bieber.

In an Instagram post, Selena said she was ‘bummed’ that the finished piece focused on her personal life and faith rather than her work:

The purpose of my interview was three fold. My work with A21, my new collection with Coach, and some new music. As I’m aware there will always be interest in one’s personal life because that’s the pace of our ‘social’ generation… Rarely do I mention church (and I didn’t) but I’ll always feel comfortable talking about my values and beliefs.

“I understand that reporters are working to grab the attention of a reader, however I will always work to ensure that what is public represents my truth,” she wrote. “I’m a bit bummed but rarely surprised. Y’all know me and my heart. I can’t help it.”
