Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez got engaged over the weekend, with A Rod presenting J Lo with an absolutely enormous ring. See! With their matching nicknames/Instagram handles, they were always meant to be together.

You can read all about that here, but what we are interested in today is why she tagged Ellen DeGeneres in the engagement photo.

What’s going on here? Well, Ellen has been VERY invested in Jennifer and Alex’s relationship, asking them repeatedly when they plan to get married.

When Jennifer appeared on her show in November, Ellen told her that A Rod had texted her to say he was planning to propose to the singer. And when a Christmas proposal didn’t happen, Ellen got the couple a clock with their faces on it, to show Alex that ‘time is ticking’. Oh Ellen, you divil.

J Lo said she’d let Ellen be the first to know about any engagement… and she kept her word.

Ellen, for her part, is ready to begin her duties as maid of honour:

This is cute. If Ellen can’t be the maid of honour, maybe she could marry them? Universe, make this happen.

Justin Bieber has asked his fans to pray for him as he struggles with his mental health. Aw, JB.

Speaking to Vogue last month with his new wife Hailey, Justin talked openly about his past issues with mental health, describing himself “emotionally unstable” and unable to trust people.

In his latest Instagram post, he told his fans that he is struggling again:

Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird… I always bounce back so I’m not worried, just wanted to reach out and ask for you guys to pray for me. God is faithful and your prayers really work thanks… The most human season I’ve ever been in facing my stuff head on…

Yes, that’s Tom Hardy. The actor is playing Al Capone in a new film about the infamous gangster, a role that requires him to put on a few pounds and don facial prosthetics.

Fonzo focuses on Capone’s battle with dementia in his later years, and also stars Jack Lowden (Saoirse Ronan’s rumoured boyf), Kyle MacLachlan, and Linda Cardellini as the gangster’s wife, Mae.

It doesn’t have a release date yet, but we trust Tom to 100% commit. One question though: Can his next role be one that does not require him to cover his beautiful face? Just consider it. Thank you.

Charting the public’s obsession with what Holly Willoughby is wearing.

It’s our final Double Willoughby Monday! Dancing On Ice finished up last night, and Holly wore this gown by Peter Langner (not ‘langer’ as we first read it) – we mostly like it, but we don’t fully understand the black patch on her right hand side. And it seems Holly’s ever-picky commenters felt the same way: “Aw shame about the black patch was it to hide a botched ironing job? Last min fix? But u still look as beautiful as ever.”

Us and Holly’s followers, agreeing? There’s a first time for everything.
