A host of Ireland’s top artists and musicians have teamed up together to release a charity single all in aid of Safe Ireland’s Covid-19 emergency fund. Fundraising to help women and children who have had to abruptly leave their homes due to domestic violence and abuse, lockdown has proven to be a more challenging time than ever for those who don’t feel safe in their own homes.

Statistics show that domestic abuse rates have risen 25% since March in Ireland and so, talented Irish singer and songwriter RuthAnn put the plan in motion to release this incredible charity single and raise some needed funding.

“Before I knew it we had 32 Irish female artists and 7 Irish female musicians covering an iconic Irish song by legends The Cranberries, Dreams, and I produced it,’ explained RuthAnn.

With the likes of Una Healy, Allie Sherlock, Erica Cody, Orla Gartland, Soulé, Saint Sister, Stephanie Rainy, Roisin O, Aimee, Imelda May and Emma Langford taking part, to name just a handful of the exceptional talent in the recording, it’s safe to say the Irish Women In Harmony are doing us proud and this track is one that will be played throughout homes as we continue to stand together and be there for one another while keeping our distance.

“We felt it was time to raise our voices together in unity as the women in music from Ireland and come together to support the domestic abuse victims & survivors,” RuthAnn added. While Una Healy echoed her words, explaining that she was “honoured to be part of this beautiful track with so many other talented artists.”
