Irish Influencer Jayda McCann Has Sadly Passed Away After A Battle With Cancer

Tributes are pouring in for Irish influencer Jayda McCann, who has passed away from cancer.

The 24-year-old Wicklow native was a popular beauty Instagrammer, also using her profile to document her journey battling PEComa, a rare form of sarcoma.

A statement from Jayda’s family posted on Instagram earlier today read: “Jade passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning at 5.10am.

“We will put up a post in the near future with more details regarding her passing but for now, her family would appreciate privacy until everything is in order. Thank you for all your support and continued kindness.”

Jayda’s friends and fellow influencers have been paying tribute to her this afternoon, calling her an “inspiration” and “the most beautiful human, inside and out”.

Actor John Connors, a close friend of Jayda who had been making a documentary about her story, said she had “talent to burn and unlimited potential for life”.

She was an incredible singer, songwriter and she was so articulate and charismatic too. She could have made it big in a number of careers. She was a warrior in every sense of the word and fought hard to the end.
