Irish Surgery Reveals Increase In Bookings Since The Beginning Of Love Island

It's being dubbed the "Love Island Effect"

It appears that this year’s series of Love Island is making some people want to change up their looks.

Thérapie Clinic recently revealed their latest research, showing that 1 in 10 (11%) of Irish people have had Botox or fillers. In the last few weeks since Love Island has become a national obsession, they have seen a huge surge in bookings for Botox and fillers.

The clinic revealed that they have seen a surge in bookings, calling it the “Love Island Effect” with numerous customers referencing the show when enquiring about injectable treatments.

When asked if they had ever had Botox or fillers, 11% of Irish people stated they had. Compared to the same question asked to Irish people in 2015 only 5% of respondents stated they had either Botox or fillers, seeing the figure more than double in less than three years.

Thérapie Clinic Medical Director, Dr. Paul Reddy says “We’ve seen a spike in enquiries for fillers and Botox over the past few weeks, our bookings have been rapidly filling up.”

There has been a lot of speculation around the cast of Love Island and if they have or have not had fillers / Botox. Since Megan entered the villa, we’ve had countless clients ask for lip fillers to get a similar look. We’ve had many asking about Botox safety with upcoming holidays mentioning the show’s cast and how they would like to see similar results. Since the show has aired we have easily seen an increase of 75% in enquiries about injectable treatments.”

“We always strive for natural results with our clients to assist them to increase their self-confidence when they work with our top class facial aesthetics team.”

Megan previously told Samira that she had gotten her lips and breasts done but wishes she could swap it all to be more like here.

For those who have never had Botox or fillers, over half (57%) said they would consider it in the future compared to 47% in 2015.
