Is Britney Spears Planning A Tell-All Interview With Oprah?

The interview we've all been waiting for...

It looks like Brit might be making her voice heard once and for all, in the most iconic way.

According to The Sun, a source close to Britney has confirmed that Oprah and the pop-star have been in contact about a sit down interview and both want it to happen. So do we!

“Britney is deeply hurt and angry others, who claim to love her, keep attempting to tell her narrative when it’s her story to tell.

“She will absolutely be speaking out on her own terms. Nothing is locked in yet but things are in play right now. It’s happening this year, maybe sooner than fans think.

“She’s already talked to Oprah about doing a sit down and Britney wants an Oprah interview to happen. Oprah wants it to happen too.

“It seems like it’s going to work out, so she’s focusing on starting her new life now,” an insider told The Sun.

This news comes after Britney’s younger sister Jamie-Lynn Spears began promoting her tell-all book. During an interview with Good Morning America, Jamie-Lynn was questioned on a range of topics, from her relationship with her sister to the role she played in her conservatorship. A strain between the two has played out in the media in recent times between Britney and Jamie-Lynn, but Jamie-Lynn maintains that she doesn’t know the root cause of their relationship breakdown.

“I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter so when she needed help I set up ways to do so. [I] went out of my way to make sure that she had the contacts she needed to possibly go ahead and end this conservatorship and just end this all for our family,” she said.

Jamie-Lynn denied playing much part in Britney’s conservatorship, sharing that she had no control over anything like her finances. However, interviewer Juju Chang brought up that Jamie-Lynn called Britney’s behaviour over the years in the past “erratic, paranoid and spiraling”. When asked to comment on her current mental state she said:

“I can’t really speak to anyone else’s state of mind, I don’t think that’s fair. But I’m allowed to say how I felt because that matters and it matters that I was in pain.”

Remaining silent for some days after the interview aired. Britney has now spoken out about it. In a lengthy post to Twitter Britney shared how she is feeling unwell, which makes her too weak to care about what her sister said.

When Britney’s conservatorship began Jamie-Lynn was 17-years-old and pregnant with her first child. Britney claims that her sister was rarely around her at the time to be aware of her behaviour.

“She was never around me much 15 years ago at the time … so why are they even talking about that unless she wants to sell a book at my expense ??? REALLY ???”

The public drama between these two sisters doesn’t seem to be calming down anytime soon. We’re looking forward to a possible Oprah interview to hear Britney’s full story, we’re sure there’s a lot to tell.
