Opps, is she doing it again?

That’s right, Britney Spears is hinting at a possible return to the stage. The singer hasn’t performed since her show at the 2019 US Grand Prix in Texas, stepping away from the stage for numerous reasons including her fight to end her conservatorship, and taking time away to unwind after the lengthy battle.

But fans have picked up on some clues, and believe the pop icon might be making her grand return at Glastonbury this weekend.

English singer Elton John is set to perform at the festival on Sunday, and his husband David Furnish confirmed there will be four surprise guest performers.

In a now deleted IG post, Brit shared a picture of an apple with St. George’s flag carved into it, captioning her post with three Union Jack flag emojis.

The pop princess also shared a painted portrait of a McDonald’s meal, which she once again captioned with three Union Jack emojis, and wrote about a “shopping trip” in London. Fans are thinking these are hints at her appearing at the iconic English festival.

Britney and Elton collaborated last year, on their track Hold Me Closer, which was a remix on his 1971 song Tiny Dancer.

It was the first, and only, music Brit has released since the end of her conservatorship.

She and Elton have known each other for many years, and he was quick to gush about working together.

Speaking with Heart Breakfast, he explained why he wanted to release a song with Britney, saying: “A) I would love to help her and get her back to recording and b) I know she can sing and she hasn’t had anything out since 2016.

“She went into the studio in LA with Andrew Watt and put her voice on and did it brilliantly and everybody seemed to love it.”

While speaking about Elton performing at Glastonbury, husband David told Sky News: “Four collaborators of his choosing. People, he just thought, ‘I’d really like to do something with these artists at Glastonbury’. And that’s all I’m going to say.”

Fans are speculating that his other guests might included Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Rina Sawayama or Lil Nas X.

Either way, we’ll be tuning in!
